How theCQE-WC-00908's 5-Stage Filtration System works
Stage 1: One-micron* filter pads remove suspended particles such as silt, sediment, Giardia and Cryptosporidium cysts, sand, rust, dirt and other undissolved particulate.
Stage 2: Granulated Activated Carbon (GAC) cartridge adsorbs a wide variety of organic contaminants such as 99.9% of chlorine as well as chemicals linked to cancer such as THMs, benzine, pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), PCBs, MTBEs and hundreds of other chemical present in most water supplies that contribute to foul taste and odor.
Stages 3 & 4: KDF filters instantaneously and almost inexhaustibly oxidize chlorine through a high-purity alloy bed of blended copper and zinc.
Stage 5: An additional one-micron filtration pad removes additional undesirable particles resulting in a near total elimination of a wide variety of contaminants.
